We are looking for a dedicated Support Specialist who thrives in a dynamic environment, providing 24/7 on-call support on a rotating schedule, with an initial on-site presence at Overland Park before transitioning to a hybrid remote role. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in PC and hardware troubleshooting, a strong customer service approach, and proficiency in ITSM systems, MS Windows 7+, and Office 365. Effective communication and a collaborative spirit are essential.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provides user training to maximize productivity and ensure proper use of the equipment while minimizing downtime.
  • Assists network administration team with support of network and telephone system.
  • Responsible for providing desktop support and maintenance of PC’s, and computer related equipment.
  • Supports the business systems that allow us to engage, educate, and transact with our customers.
  • Provides first and second-level help desk support to users for software/hardware problems.
  • Installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, printers, and peripheral equipment, following company best practices.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of all equipment at various sites.
  • Works in a group environment and collaborates on work efforts and ideas.
  • Troubleshoots and remotely diagnoses and resolves issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintains computers daily; upgrades if necessary, to meet business requirements.
  • Troubleshoots end-users with support for both VoIP and mobile devices
  • Prepares new systems for users and perform moves and set-ups in conjunction with personnel moves.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with end users to resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience troubleshooting and supporting PC, hardware, desktop at an enterprise level
  • Experience working with a formal ticketing system
  • Extensive experience working within ITSM systems and processes
  • Experience and working knowledge within MS Windows 7 and above
  • Strong communication and customer service mentality
  • Understanding of networking hardware and functionality
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10 and maintaining devices in an Active Directory environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
