We are seeking a Water Facilities Team Leader / Senior Project Manager in North Carolina to build and maintain a portfolio of profitable water/wastewater projects. This leadership role offers autonomy to grow a team, drive revenue, and collaborate with our North Carolina Water Business Team Leader for overall practice expansion. Role and Responsibilities:
- Assembles, develops, mentors, and oversees a highly motivated team
- Leads and manages team for successful execution of contracted scope, budget, and schedule
- Prepares scope-of-work and level-of-effort estimates for contract proposals
- Proficiently executes planning, design, bidding, and construction administration phases of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Develops, captures, and maintains workload for the team throughout North Carolina, by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients
- Develops and maintains a healthy network of clients throughout North Carolina
- Mentorship and development from seasoned leadership and peers will allow this Facilities Team Leader to have a direct impact on building our legacy of providing outstanding engineering services to water and wastewater clients in North Carolina.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina 8+ years of similar experience in the water/wastewater utilities market with a focus on treatment 5+ years of project management experience
- Working knowledge of presentation software such as MS PowerPoint or Keynote
- Strong communication skills and public speaking ability
Preferred Skills:
- Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 10+ years of similar experience in the water/wastewater utilities market with a focus on treatment
- 5+ years of similar experience in supporting municipalities in North Carolina
- Experience with state and or national conference technical presentations on water/wastewater treatment topics
- Strong existing client relationships with multiple North Carolina municipal water and wastewater utilities
