We are seeking a Water Facilities Team Leader / Senior Project Manager in North Carolina to build and maintain a portfolio of profitable water/wastewater projects. This leadership role offers autonomy to grow a team, drive revenue, and collaborate with our North Carolina Water Business Team Leader for overall practice expansion. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assembles, develops, mentors, and oversees a highly motivated team
  • Leads and manages team for successful execution of contracted scope, budget, and schedule
  • Prepares scope-of-work and level-of-effort estimates for contract proposals
  • Proficiently executes planning, design, bidding, and construction administration phases of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Develops, captures, and maintains workload for the team throughout North Carolina, by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients
  • Develops and maintains a healthy network of clients throughout North Carolina
  • Mentorship and development from seasoned leadership and peers will allow this Facilities Team Leader to have a direct impact on building our legacy of providing outstanding engineering services to water and wastewater clients in North Carolina.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina 8+ years of similar experience in the water/wastewater utilities market with a focus on treatment 5+ years of project management experience
  • Working knowledge of presentation software such as MS PowerPoint or Keynote
  • Strong communication skills and public speaking ability

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 10+ years of similar experience in the water/wastewater utilities market with a focus on treatment
  • 5+ years of similar experience in supporting municipalities in North Carolina
  • Experience with state and or national conference technical presentations on water/wastewater treatment topics
  • Strong existing client relationships with multiple North Carolina municipal water and wastewater utilities
