We are seeking a PeopleSoft Developer to join our team.
Job Summary: Under general direction, this position performs programming on the PeopleSoft HRIS team. This position plays a key role in designing, encoding, testing, and documenting the development and modification of applications. This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and at least 2 years of PeopleSoft technical experience required.
Essential Functions:
- Writes program specifications for new computer programs and changes to existing programs.
- Interfaces with users to determine the use of and requirements/specifications for development and/or modification to assigned business system/system application.
- Codes new computer programs and changes to existing programs with minimal direction.
- Executes unit and system tests to ensure quality and adherence to requirements.
- Researches and solves problems in existing programs and works trouble tickets.
- Produces project documentation according to departmental standards. This may include user requirements, technical design, as well as testing and release documentation.
- Overall strong technical skills with the ability and desire to pick up new skills as needed.
- Collaborates with other team members to solve problems.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 2+ years PeopleSoft experience.
- Experience in PeopleSoft HR, Benefits, Time & Labor and Payroll modules preferred.
- Solid understanding of SQL.
- PeopleSoft skills: PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, SQR.
- PL/SQL, Oracle, JavaScript, HTML, XML.
- Web development experience using C#, ASP.Net, and jQuery a plus but not required.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
