We are seeking a Technical IFS Project Manager for complex, high-profile systems implementation project. This position will be responsible for providing expert guidance and expertise to teams in Project Management best practices, approaches, and cross-team coordination. Throughout the delivery life cycle, the Project Manager collaborates continually while keeping the project on track. Responsible for providing clarity, accountability, timeline and budget while mitigating risks to delivering a successful project. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in IFS Implementations, various software development practices and methodologies, project management and client services.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Interfaces with and tracks all areas affected by the scope of the project, including business users, and vendors.
  • Ensures continuous alignment between the CIO teams and business teams while delivering the appropriate communication to the Senior Leadership.
  • Develops and tracks budgets and financial cost forecasts to support the objectives of the project.
  • Defines project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organizes and leads project status and working meetings; prepares and distributes progress reports; manages risks and issues; corrects deviations from plans; and performs delivery planning for assigned projects.
  • Assists in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leverages organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; mentors and develops team members.
  • Manages expectations for project deliverables, manages stakeholder communications, and helps implement an effective system of project governance
  • Defines and manages a well-defined project management process and champions ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for project management.
  • Promotes empowerment of the team, ensures that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourages a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience leading successful IFS implementations.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience successfully leading projects
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a systems implementation project with measurable success
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Solid understanding of, and demonstrated experience using JIRA
  • Little need for supervision
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands. Proven ability to lead projects and ensure that objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
  • Ability to focus on details while keeping in mind the big picture.
