Role and Responsibilities:

  • Automates testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.
  • Monitors and analyzes application performance, and provides recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborates with developers to establish and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves production issues, conducting post-mortem analyses as needed.
  • Stays current with new technologies and industry trends, and recommends solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Implements and maintains CI/CD pipelines, using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Initiates and manages infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Manages and optimizes source control with GitHub.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Understanding of source control systems, preferably GitHub.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch and Redis.
  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Backbone.js/Marionette.js, and CoffeeScript.
